A New Partnership for Aquatic Safety in East Africa

SST and Lifesaving Cadets Kenya are proud to announce a new training centre partnership supporting lifeguard development, operator training and future industry growth.

We’re pleased to announce a new training center partnership with Lifesaving Cadets Kenya, supporting the continued growth of internationally aligned aquatic safety training opportunities across East Africa.

Founded in 2019, Lifesaving Cadets has built a strong reputation for practical lifeguard development, water safety education and community-focused training initiatives. Their programs focus on equipping young professionals with real-world rescue skills, career pathways and internationally relevant aquatic safety knowledge.

Through this partnership, Lifesaving Cadets Kenya will operate as an SST training centre delivering programs aligned with the standards of Ellis and Associates, Inc. This collaboration strengthens professional development opportunities for lifeguards and aquatic operators within Kenya and internationally.

Lifesaving Cadets Kenya has been actively involved in wider water safety and community engagement initiatives, including youth empowerment programmes, beach clean-up activities, drowning prevention awareness, and career mentorship for aspiring lifeguards.

As demand for qualified aquatic safety personnel continues to grow across hospitality, recreation, tourism, and waterpark operations, partnerships like this play an important role in developing accessible training pathways and raising operational standards.

Kenya continues to see increasing momentum around water safety advocacy and professional aquatic training, supported by organisations working to reduce drowning incidents and improve access to lifesaving education nationwide.

SST looks forward to working closely with Lifesaving Cadets Kenya as the partnership develops and to supporting the continued advancement of aquatic safety training within the region.
